"The winding mountain road then continues through the village of Ruígomez, where there is a Camel Centre, and then through the town of El Tanque and the rural villages of San Juan del Reparo and Genoves, as it winds its way down into your destination of Icod de los Vinos, the City of the Dragon Tree. You will pass through a pine forest just past El Tanque and get some splendid views over the coast where you can see the Roque of Garachico, an islet in the sea near this former port that survived a volcanic eruption long ago in 1706.
