In 2007, The Parque de la Reserva in central Lima reopened its doors to Peruvians and tourists alike.  The park consists of 13 illuminated fountains and currently holds the Guiness World Records for The Largest Fountains in the World and the Tallest Fountain in the World (Gran Fuente Mágica).   You can spend a good chunk of time here marveling at the lights and the water, which are best appreciated at night.  The suggested route through the park looks like this:

[Map of the park with labels for each fountain]

To get around the park, start at the main gate (Gate 1) and turn left. You will wrap around to the 1.) Fuente Mágica (Magic Fountain), which is the tallest fountain in the world. Continue following the path around until you reach 2.) Fuente de la Fantasia (Fantasy Fountain), which is where the music and lights shows are held each night.  The next big fountain of interest is 4.) Fuente Túnel de las Sorpresas (Tunnel of the Surprises), which as the name suggests, is a giant water tunnel that tourists may stroll under on their way to 5.) Fuente Laberinto del Ensueño (The Labyrinth Fountain of Daydreams).  Here, you can test your luck by trying to jump from the outer levels of the labyrinth to the inner circles and back out without getting wet.  The timers on the spouts are unpredictable, so you never know if you´ll make it out dry or drenched!
