You really can't get more traditional than croissants for breakfast. Croissants, pains au chocolat and chaussons aux pommes are known as viennoiseries in French, which translates to Viennese pastries. Of course, today, these delicacies are far better known for their French side than for their Austrian roots. Viennoiseries are usually consumed on weekend mornings by Parisians; luckily, you're on vacation, and you have your pick of some of the best any day of the week.
