This itinerary describes a full day of sightseeing in Yogyakarta on Java Island in Indonesia. Three of the main attractions in the city, Borobudur, Prambanan temples and Mount Merapi, are packed together in a fantastic day's journey.
You will be taken from the city of Yogyakarta through sunrise at the majestic temple of Borobudur, to the high altitude view of the most active volcano in Indonesia, Mount Merapi, relaxing in cool temperatures for lunch during the heat of the mid-day under the volcano, and finish off with sunset, dinner, and traditional ballet at Prambanan Temple.
It is a long but spectacular day where you will see fantastic landscapes, beautifully terraced rice fields and a bustling street life of all the colors of the rainbow.
