Mijas - One Day Tour of an Andalucían White Village
Choose options
Nestled in the Mijas mountains is the pueblo blanco (white town) of Mijas. A popular tourist attraction, it has still managed to retain its charm and authentic feel with narrow cobbled streets running between white-washed buildings. For the feel of an Andalucían mountain village, Mijas is one not to miss.
This single-day itinerary is suitable for all ages and interests due to the variety of places you will visit - from small churches and shrines, donkeys, a miniature museum, wine museum and artisan good shops amongst others.
Many of the attractions are free, and those you do have to pay for are very reasonably priced: the itinerary will suit any budget.
You will need to be able to walk for a few hours but there are plenty of opportunities to rest and absorb the village's charm. For those who wish to walk a little further, there is an additional section in the appendix.
I have been visiting Mijas for decades, lived in the municipality and have yet to tire of its charm. I'll show you both the popular sights and those that few visit, as well as recommending some of the top places to eat and drink.
Mijas awaits you!
